Membrane filter plate is a filter plate that adds an “expandable membrane layer” to a standard filter plate. After filtration and cake formation, the membrane chamber is pressurized with water or air, causing the membrane to bulge toward the filter chamber and apply secondary squeezing to the filter cake. This further expels free water from the cake, thereby reducing moisture content and improving cake stability.
